The way low carb chocolates are being produced is rapidly changing. We’re way ahead of the curve.
The most common problem with developing a low carb chocolate was not necessarily making it taste good, but rather the effect it had on your stomach. This painful effect was caused by sugar alcohols that essentially got stuck in the small intestine and produced gas <(simple explanation).
Synergy Diet originally imported chocolate from a fantastic company in Australia. Everyone loved them but the gas did affect many including one unsespecting canine.
Funny complaint-well not really funny for them but hey, we all work long hours so this one is worth sharing. We had a customer call and complain that her dog was sick and blamed it on our chocolate bars. Well first, everyone knows not to give a dog chocolate but this customer didn’t give it to the dog. The dog apparently jumped up on a table and ate an entire box of 12 chocolate bars. To make a long story short, the dog did survive but the carpet didn’t.
Back to newly developed chocolate: soon new low carb chocolates will be available that not only have zero impact on your stomach but also utilize new age fats that actually speed up your metabolism.
For a self-diagnosed chocoholic this is good news. It took me 2 days to eat a one pound dark chocolate bar with almonds from Trader Joes, great stuff but not for my waist line!
Stay tuned to Synergy Diet for the latest in low carb news.
