It was always a difficult task to produce baked goods that would taste great, be low in carbs while also having the desired texture. The result was a very good line of products that had a higher carb count than most. For us it was more important to have correct nutritional information than to worry about how low we could get the carbs.
Fortunately, ingredients have changed and now we have more available to us to make baked goods taste great.
We recently tested a new low carb cake and cupcake mix that was also high in protein and low in fat. We really like these products coming out now that are eliminating the unecessary fats and pumping up the protein (an expensive, metabolism boosting ingredient).
This new product can be seen here. We messed up the first cake by overcooking it but the second one came out just great. Now here’s the neat thing, you can actually sit down and eat an entire cake without the worry of an upset stomach, bloated feeling, or overwhelming fear of gaining fat. This product is primarily protein ergo the low likelihood of gaining fat from it.
In fact, one of our testers asked why it was making her sweat. It’s the metabolism! That’s what happens when you eat high quality protein.
